If you're considering Hyatt Ziva Cancun, you've probably already discovered the resort's adults-only section: Turquoize Tower.
And you're probably asking the same question we did before our first stay:
"Is it really worth the extra money?" 🤔
After staying at Hyatt Ziva Cancun five times, we've consistently chosen Turquoize Tower because the upgrade completely changes the experience.
You still enjoy everything that makes Hyatt Ziva Cancun one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Mexico—but you gain a quieter atmosphere, exclusive amenities, personalized service, and one of the best rooftop pools in Cancun.
Here's my honest review after multiple stays.
What Is Turquoize Tower?
Turquoize Tower is the adults-only section of Hyatt Ziva Cancun, designed for travelers seeking a more elevated and peaceful resort experience.
Reserved exclusively for guests 18 and older, this oceanfront tower features premium room categories, private check-in, personalized butler service, and a collection of exclusive amenities not available in the main resort.
Guests also enjoy access to the adults-only rooftop infinity pool, daily hydrotherapy at the spa, upgraded in-room amenities, and priority dining benefits—all while maintaining full access to everything Hyatt Ziva Cancun has to offer.
Why We Continue to Book Turquoize Tower
We have visited Hyatt Ziva Cancun five times since 2016. While we love the resort as a whole, Turquoize Tower is also part of what keeps us coming back.
For us, it comes down to four things: quieter mornings, an adults-only atmosphere, incredible views, and elevated service.
The adults-only environment is another major reason we continue to upgrade. Hyatt Ziva Cancun does an excellent job catering to families, but there is something special about having dedicated adults-only spaces to retreat to when you want a quieter experience. The Turquoize rooftop pool quickly became one of our favorite spots on the entire property. It's calm, rarely crowded, and offers some of the best views in Cancun.
After five stays, we've never seriously considered staying in another section of the resort. For couples, honeymooners, anniversary trips, or anyone looking for a more relaxing adults-only experience within Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Turquoize Tower is absolutely worth considering.

Our personal favorite is a high-floor room on the 9th floor. The corner rooms offer incredible views of both beaches and some of the best sunrise and sunset scenery on the property.
Turquoize Tower Perks
Butler Service: Get used to hearing, "It's a Pleasure." 💙☺️
You will have 2 assigned butlers to your suite and they can be as involved as you like from unpacking/packing for you, to drawing your bath/hot tub prior to you coming back to the room. They can assist you with any dining reservations, spa reservations, questions and special requests. You will communicate with them via What's App chat, so be sure to have downloaded to your phone.
Adults-Only Rooftop Pool: This is a perfect retreat, with views spanning the beach and pool on the Habaneros side. There are cabanas, waiters, an infinity pool and relaxed adults only atmosphere for more vibe.
Daily Hydrotherapy Access: This is one of the BEST perks IMO. Typically in the morning until around lunchtime you can use the hydrocircuit, steam room, sauna, cold plunge and more. This is an amazing way to start the day and it is just a short elevator ride down to the spa in your tower. Check our video clip below:
Private Check-in: This perk is perfect after a travel day. With Turquioze you have a private check-in experience in this lounge and will be served sparkling wine or punch while you wait to get checked in.
Premium In-Room Liquor: With each Turquoize booking you will get to select a bottle of liquor of your choice.
Aromatherapy Amenities: A nice personal touch as you can select from several beachy scents during your stay.
Priority Seating at Tradewinds: You will get first seating at Tradewinds for breakfast, lunch and dinner staying in Turquoize.
The Biggest Difference: Atmosphere
Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a fantastic family-friendly resort. Turquoize Tower simply gives adults a place to retreat when they want a quieter experience.
You still have:

Yes - We've seen grandparents or parents stay in Turquoize while other family members stay in the main resort. We first visited for a destination wedding and the attendees all stayed in different parts of the resort; It was nice to have the adults only spaces to get away from crowds.
Who Might Skip Turquoize?
You might skip the upgraded tower if you are traveling with family or friends with kids.
Or if you plan to explore outside of the resort, then this upgrade may not be required.
You can definitely save by staying in the Pyramid Suites with Resort Views - you will still have access to all restaurants and amenities, save for the ones I previously mentioned. 😉
Is Turquoize Tower Worth the Extra Cost?
Personally, we are usually travelling by ourselves and we enjoy a nice room, balcony with hot tub and wonderful bed to sleep in each night, and that is what Turquoize delivers. I am happy to chat through the options with you depending on what you're most looking for in your trip.
After five visits, we've never considered staying anywhere else on property.

Yes - Turquoize Tower is the adults only section of the resort, with private elevators and lobby.

Yes - the rooftop pool is for Turquoize guests only.
Are airport transfers included?
No, but I can easily assist you in booking private or shared transportation to Hyatt Ziva via one of my preferred suppliers.
What is the best room category?
The Sky Oceanview suite is our favorite, but any in the tower would be great. I prefer higher for the views! The Swim Out suite would be a fun option to consider as well.
Is Turquoize worth it for couples?
Yes - If you are staying at Hyatt Ziva as a couple, I think upgrading to Turquoize allows you to have some more quieter areas and romantic time together.
