🏝️ Mykonos – A Beach Club Kind of Day
Oct 11
What to do in Mykonos!?
Cruise Stop #3 – Tender Port: Mykonos, Greece
Activity Planned: Super Paradise Beach Club

We arrived in our third cruise stop of Mykonos ready for a beach day! After ruin and history tours in Athens, Istanbul and Ephesus, we were ready to relax and enjoy a day soaking up the sun and surf - along with a waiter and some drinks! 🥂

The tender ride in:
On Virgin, you have to take a tender into Mykonos. They are not available until you get on board, if you do not have a shore excursion booked. This can cause some panic - pay attention to the notifications from the app, and from the ship team. Once you get the cue, typically the day before/night before, get in the app!
I was able to login right at midnight the day prior and reserve an early morning tender. Those that did not, risked waiting until noon to get on the island - make this a priority!
#TravelMore Tip: Don’t Wing It in Mykonos

We didn’t book our transportation ahead of time—and immediately realized that was a mistake. Taxis are not readily available, and there’s no ride share like Uber or Lyft. After asking around and a bit of scrambling, we spotted a small booth called Delos Tours (photo right!) near the tender exit. They arranged a private transfer across the island for €60 to our destination: Super Paradise Beach Club.
It worked out, but next time I’d recommend pre-booking transport before arrival. Island logistics are real.
🏖️ A VIP Day at Super Paradise Beach Club
We knew we wanted a relaxing day to balance out all the amazing (but let’s be honest - exhausting) ancient ruin tours. So, we splurged on a VIP beach experience at one of the most popular beach clubs in Mykonos. This is a beautiful beach club and top spot in Mykonos - here are some videos (at the start of the day) to show you the space:
We went all in on the day:
🎟️ Pre-Booked Loungers: $100 each (but applied toward food/drink spend)
🍾 Prosecco x4: Yes, we went all in.
🥑 Brunch/Lunch: Avocado toast, traditional breakfast, chicken nuggets, and a solid club sandwich—beach food heaven.
🏊♀️ Swim, chill, repeat: We swam, sunned, sipped, and soaked up the scenery from 10AM to 6PM.
🎶 Vibes: As the day wore on, the music got louder and the crowd got younger. By 5PM, it was definitely turning into club mode. Time to bounce 😆
📱 Pro Tip: Grab the Driver’s Number
When we got dropped off, we made sure to ask for our driver’s number. I texted him around 3PM to arrange a 6PM pickup, and he arrived right on time. No stress, no missed tender.
We made it back to the port just in time for the last tender; tired, a little sun-kissed, and very happy. This is 100% worth it and important to remember to plan your pick up in these islands where transport is not readily available.
✨ Final Thoughts
If you're planning a port day in Mykonos, here's my quick advice:
Book transport ahead of time
Decide if you want a beach club experience or explore the town
Don’t underestimate how much a relaxing day can recharge you between active excursions
Splurge if you can—you’re worth it 💁♀️
While there were plenty of other options available, a beach club day was just what we needed to relax and have some fun together before the Santorini Flying Dress photoshoot that will be coming next. Stay tuned!
